After 15 years of delivering high-profile projects throughout Utah and the Mountain West Region, Alliant is proud to announce a major milestone: The opening of our Salt Lake City office.

This expansion reflects our commitment to intentional, sustainable growth rooted in client service, regional expertise, and long-standing industry partnerships.

A Year of Growth

2025 was an exceptional year for Alliant in Utah, marked by major project wins and meaningful contributions to the state’s transportation network. Highlights include:

  • Delivering the Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plans on the I‑15: 1800 North Interchange & Corridor Widening project
  • Being awarded the SR‑194: Lehi 2100 N Freeway Design-Build (DB) and commencing delivery of the project’s MOT as part of the DB Team
  • Being selected to provide MOT design services on the US‑89 (300 W) Pedestrian Crossing Progressive Design-Build (PDB) as part of the PDB Team
  • Assisting UDOT’s Traffic & Safety Division in updating the Traffic Control Series Standard Drawings and Standard Specifications

Looking Ahead: Mountains and Momentum

To better serve our contractor clients, consulting partners, The Utah Department of Transportation, and the broader Mountain West transportation industry, we are thrilled to plant deeper roots with a new office in Salt Lake City. This step enables us to be even more responsive, collaborative, and engaged in Utah’s robust transportation industry.

We’re excited to welcome Sam Thiele, PE, to the Alliant Team. Sam brings 12 years of technical design experience and deep familiarity with Salt Lake City’s infrastructure landscape. His expertise will play a pivotal role in strengthening our MOT capabilities and elevating the services we provide throughout the region.

The Beehive State

Utah is known as the Beehive State for its spirit of hard work, industry, and community — many of the qualities that define Alliant. We’re energized to collaborate with our partners and contribute to the state’s continued growth and industriousness.

With a new office, expanded talent, and years of momentum behind us, Alliant is ready for the next chapter in Utah.
