Internships at Alliant mean gaining relevant knowledge, building skillsets, experimenting on the job, and establishing important industry connections. Our goal for every intern is to enhance what students learned in school and give them the self-confidence and skills required in any workplace. Internships may be completed part-time during the fall, winter, or spring semester, or full-time over the summer.

From Intern to Leader

We invest in our employee-owners and provide the support they need to build their careers. Abby Rieckman is one of many employees who started their careers at Alliant and have grown into leadership roles.

Abby began as a Transportation intern, where she first gained experience working on design-build projects, including Highway 13/101. Throughout her career at Alliant, she has contributed to some of our largest projects, including 35W MnPass and the St. Croix River Bridge. As well as homing in on her design-build skills and becoming widely respected in the industry, Abby is also an incredible mentor who has provided guidance to many of our younger staff.

Through her dedication and professional growth, Abby advanced to become a Principal and a firm leader.
