With extra funding and aging infrastructure, our industry has a busy future. However, the challenge lies in continuing to draw others into this field of work.

We asked our engineers why they joined this industry and why others should do the same. Hear what Kate Moffat, Peter Harff, and Mike Anderson had to say in the video below.

We invited Johnson Aerospace and Engineering High School to our Minneapolis office to learn about the industry.

Students participated in soil texturing, 3D modeling, typical sections, site layout design, and visited one of our projects. After learning about the proposal process, the day ended with some friendly competition. Students worked in teams to create bridges that were scored on time management, budgeting, design, and strength. This impactful day for students and our employee-owners aligns perfectly with the theme of Engineers’ Week and Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day – welcome to the future!
