Hillsborough County Emergency Vehicle Preemption

Alliant is supporting Hillsborough County, Florida, with traffic operations, smart mobility, and ITS initiatives. Our Tampa Team is assisting the County Traffic Management Center with active work orders, including designing and deploying a county-wide emergency vehicle preemption system for over 150 emergency vehicles and 600 traffic signals. The County is also upgrading 120 traffic signals with new Advanced Traffic Controllers (ATCs) and Connected Vehicle Roadside Units (RSUs). Alliant developed a Request for Proposal; and we are currently supporting acceptance testing, and system engineering documentation for the Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) upgrades. The team is also assisting with FHWA grant applications, including new School Bus Safety Program with connected vehicle integration.
