Alliant provided construction administration, inspection services, and construction survey for a 6-block, State Aid eligible reconstruction project in downtown St. Paul.
This is a full reconstruction project including improved pedestrian access, addition of two-way bikeway, replacement of existing signal systems, improved lighting, and installation of fully ADA compliant corners at all intersections. Alliant’s construction administrator led weekly construction and utility meetings, provided communication updates for the project website, and hosted weekly check-in meetings at a local coffee shop for property owners and members of the public to come and ask questions. Alliant’s inspection staff provided visual oversight of construction activities and led the coordination of materials testing required by the project. Ultimately, the project met substantial completion goals of being open to traffic before November 1st of 2022, even with the unforeseen hurdles discovered through the construction process.
