The Vomela Companies facility is a 320,000 square foot industrial building in Saint Paul, Minnesota, located along Minnehaha Avenue on a former 3M property within the Capital Region Watershed District.
The facility employs over 300 professionals and provides high-quality printing services nationwide. Alliant worked closely with local municipalities, interest groups, and the Capital Region Watershed District throughout the planning process. Through these collaborations, stormwater management and ecological species diversification were listed as key priorities. Given the site’s footprint, a large underground infiltration system was designed, incorporating 2,579 linear feet of perforated corrugated metal piping to manage stormwater runoff and meet regulatory requirements. A native plant palette was developed to enhance biodiversity and support Minnesota’s wildlife, reflecting Alliant’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and responsible design.
