Amber Klein, PE is a Senior Professional Engineer with over 12 years of experience on a wide variety of projects with an emphasis on State and County Highway and Municipal State Aid Streets. Amber has a solid record of progressive work experience and demonstrated strong leadership skills. While at a previous employer, she served as the Deputy Project Manager and Design Manager on the CSAH 81 project for Hennepin County. It included adding lanes, improving drainage, utility relocation and design, extending the regional trail, and ADA improvements.
Amber holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University and has been a Professional Engineer since 2011. Her work experience and education covers a broad range of skills and abilities. “I’m happy to be part of a growing company and excited to use my experience and talents to contribute to the success of Alliant Engineering.”
Eric Nelson, PE is a Senior Professional Engineer with over 18 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. Eric comes to us from the Three Rivers Park District where he spent 8 years managing the design and construction of several complex projects, including the Nine Mile Creek Regional Trail in Edina. The $22 million federally-funded project included two new major pedestrian bridges over trunk highways, nearly two miles of elevated timber boardwalk, and over three miles of paved trail construction through a fully-developed community. Prior to the Three Rivers Park District, Eric spent 10 years working for transportation-based consultants in the Twin Cities Metro Area.
Eric holds a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has been a Professional Engineer since 2004. He also became a LEED Accredited Professional in 2008.
