We successfully completed an Adopt a Highway clean-up on Highway 36 in Oak Park Heights, MN on April 1. Our group picked up 74 bags of trash over a two mile stretch. MnDOT estimates that volunteers help MnDOT save $7 million every year.
“Although it was not the most glamorous outing, we feel very accomplished in the work we did to provide a cleaner and healthier environment,” said Project Engineer Nicole Wilson. She championed Alliant’s participation in the Adopt a Highway program and selected our stretch following her involvement in the TH 36: St. Croix River Approach Design-Build project.
Vicki Kessler, one of MnDOT’s Adopt a Highway Program Coordinators, said, “I saw that you had done your clean-up and what a difference!”
