Principal / Project Manager – Transportation
Brett joined Alliant in 2005. Over the last 19 years, he has managed large traditional and alternative delivery projects in Minnesota, Colorado, and Utah. His vast design-build resume gives him insight into constructability techniques and approaches for various transportation disciplines on projects of all sizes. Brett’s approach to maintenance of traffic (MOT), construction staging, and roadway design benefits our clients in terms of schedule, budget, and stakeholder satisfaction. In addition to managing projects, Brett acts as Director of Transportation Design for roadway, structures, and environmental services.
Brett specializes in delivering transportation design projects of all sizes and scopes across the country. His background in construction and roadway design provides him experience necessary to develop construction staging that maximizes traffic efficiencies while maintaining the safest and most cost-efficient construction phasing possible. He has served as the MOT Design Manager on numerous highly visible DOT projects, including the I-35W Minnesota River Bridge, I-35E MnPASS and I-94 Reconstruction Design-Build projects in Minnesota; US-36 Express Lanes and US-36 Managed Lanes Toll Concession Design-Build projects in Colorado; and the I-15 CORE Design-Build project in Utah. On a local level, Brett has extensive experience managing traditional final design projects of varying scope and complexity for agencies throughout Minnesota. Brett prides himself on fostering open, honest lines of communication between all project stakeholders including agency design and management staff, the design team, contractors, subconsultants, and community members. In his down time, he rides his motorcycle on the transportation system he has helped develop.
